ADA, Okla. - Pontotoc County authorities investigating the death of a county jail inmate have arrested the inmate's sister.

David Wayne Ellis was found unresponsive in his cell yesterday. He had been arrested April fifth for public intoxication and burglary.

Sheriff Joe Glover says Ellis' sister - Mary Jane Martinez- was arrested last night on complaints of bringing contraband into a jail, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and false impersonation.

Glover says Martinez visited Ellis Sunday night and a jail video shows her giving him something that is believed to be some kind of narcotic.

Glover says Martinez is a nurse who was fired last week from the Mabel Bassett Corrections Facility.

This is a shame that this could happen, but this is the county jail for you. I'ts funny authoities don't know what is going on, when it is plain to see and other people see it with their own eyes, but the authorities can't. The see everything else that isn't there. The jailors seem to know alot, jailers know someone is jail and for what for, how years they are going to get,and they even pass jugdement if they think they are guilty, which they should keep their mouth shut. Because they go and tell "Smiths" the next door neighbor everything before family can find out. Authories take the word of a snitch, of what they think happen, Inmates lay in the cell with a broke hip for 24hrs. whats a matter they went deaf when he was yelling for help??? But they can't really see what is going on right in front off theirs eyes. They have camera's if it had been someone they really wanted, they could have seen what they want to see.

that is just sad to see that there are people in this world that will bring themselves down like that and lose everything in life because of drugs.
