Weather Aware conditions continue overnight due to the potential for locally heavy rainfall. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 7 a.m. for the northernmost portions of Texoma including Atoka, Coal, Johnston, Murray and Pontotoc Counties Beware of flooded road-ways and never drive around barricades or into water more than six inches deep. High rainfall rates may reduce visibility and also increase the risk of hydroplaning. Turn around, don’t drown! Rain ends NW to SE during the day Thursday.
ARDMORE -- The Carter County OSU Extension Office wants to help you buy a new home.
Officials say interest rates are relatively low and many people are in the market for a new home but don't realize what they're getting in to.
The extension office is hosting a homebuyer’s workshop starting tonight. Officials are bringing in mortgage experts, real estate agents, home inspectors, lawyers, and bankers to give you tips and answer any questions.
The workshop is free and runs tonight and tomorrow night from 5:30 to 9:00.
Stop by the OSU extension office in Ardmore or call 223-6570 for more information.
