MARIETTA, Okla. -- A fire in a Marietta apartment complex destroyed everything a family owned.

Marietta and Shadydale firefighters were called to the Fairfield Apartments on Arch Street around six o'clock Monday morning.

They managed to keep the flames from spreading to other units, but couldn't save the family's home.

A man and his two kids were home at the time. Family members say a 16-year-old girl saved her brother’s life.

Firefighters believe electrical problems started the fire. The apartment owner was able to relocate the family to another unit.

I would like to help this family. My home burned 2 years ago Monday. I was at work, but my daughter and granddaughter were able to escape unharmed. My co-workers at Dollar General Warehouse and the Ardmore schools helped with so much. I would love to help this family. I have clothes and shoes and some housing supplies. If they need food I will help with that also. I know just how lose you can feel after such an event. Please tell me how to help this family. Kenda Miller Ardmore 223-7309
