Wynnewood Refinery Explosion

An explosion Friday night at a Wynnewood Refinery, OHP confirms the explosion.

It happened at the Wynnewood Refinig Company on Highway 77, the facility is located just east of I-35.

Witnesses say it happened sometime after 8:30 pm Friday.

The explosion sent flames hundreds of feet into the air, and was seen for miles.

Earlier on Friday, lightning struck the refinery, setting a tank on fire before noon nobody was hurt in that incident.

    Food for thought...police officers are in a position of authority...i find it disrespectful to refer to them as "cops"

    i think they should just contain it and let it burn out instead of having alot of man hours in the fire i know that it was a big fire and i hope that nobody got hurt in the explosion i think they need to be alert of bad weather around a refinery well men be safe and i hope everythink comes out good thanks men for all of ur hard work to put it out
