(McAlester-AP) -- An FBI scientist returned for more testimony today in the murder trial of Oklahoma City bombing conspirator Terry Nichols.

Steven Burmeister is testifying about his discovery of ammonium nitrate fertilizer he found on a piece of the Ryder truck used to deliver the bomb.

Prosecutors say the bomb used to destroy the Alfred P Murrah Federal Building was a mixture of ammonium nitrate and fuel oil. Defense attorneys are to cross-examine Burmeister today and are expected to question him about a government report criticizing the way the FBI lab handled evidence in the bombing investigation.

Nichols faces 161 state murder charges for the bombing and
prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
