A Calera woman is dead after a major accident on Highway 69-75 Wednesday afternoon.

It happened around 12:30, 1/2 mile south of the Highway 91/Colbert exit.

Troopers say 45-year-old Lou Ann Wrisner was southbound when she lost control of her truck, crossed the median, and went airborne.

Her truck collided with a truck heading north bound, killing her on impact.

The driver of the northbound truck was taken to Texoma Medical Center with minor injuries.

Troopers say Wrisner may have been distracted as she was driving, causing her to lose control.

My cousin was killed in this accident and I must say that the windshield wipers still running were the least of my concerns!!!

The windshield wipers could not be turned off, the dash was damaged. They didnt want the truck touched until the investigation was done.

Never said it was medias job to turn off wipers. But it was upsetting to show it. Edmond, thanks for your two cents.......

I have worked as a TV news and sports photographer and all I can say about the person that was talking about couldn't the camera man get a better shot, when the photographer is looking through those lens he is getting the best shot and the quickest shot that he could get and if the truth was known he probably didn't even notice the wipes still going. VIEWERS you had better be glad that KXII TV covers the stories like they do and as quick as they get there, I feel that they done a super good job on that story. Sincerely Edmond Jacobs, Lane, Okla

when a wreck like this happens there are alot of things going on and its not the medias job to turn off the wipers or work the accident it should of been a troopers job or the wrecker company job but it was a little upseting at that sad time.

Saw the coverage of this on the news last night. What angered me was they showed footage of the crash and the windshelid wipers were still going on the truck. You didn't have any better shots? Kinda morbid if you ask me. But if it bleeds it leads....
