ARDMORE -- Ardmore Chamber Of Commerce and school officials are teaming up to make sure their kids are prepared for college.
Business professionals were at the Ardmore middle schools Thursday morning to teach eighth graders about the Oklahoma Scholars Program.
The program is designed to encourage students to take core classes in math, science, English, history, and foreign languages during high school.
Those who meet the requirements and maintain a 2.5 grade point average are eligible for a college scholarship.
Business professionals also talked about adult budgeting and how a college education is critical to the future.
