WYNNEWOOD, Okla. -- Things are back up and running at the Wynnewood Refinery ten days after a series of fires and explosions in southern Garvin County.

Authorities say lightning was to blame for a fire at AA Storage Tank on April 27th.

That incident put them out of business for more than a week.

Now Gary-Williams officials tell us they're operating at 65% capacity.

All units are expected to be operational by later this week.

The refinery processes about 55,000 barrels of crude a day at full capacity.

That's what I'd like to know Kelly. I dont' see why they went up in the first place. As little fuel as that place puts out, you probably couldn't even tell that they were gone other than the jump in gas prices.

When the refinery reopens will the gas prices go down or was that just an excuse for them to raise them and line their pockets

I agree with Cassidy, something has to give but you can bet it will be our pocket books & not the big oil companies profits! To me it looks like they look for any minor excuse to raise prices. They say supply & demand, but I have not seen any type of shortage!

THEY ARE SAYING THAT IS WHY THE GAS PRICES JUMPED IN A WEEK. I THINK IT WAS GOING TO JUMP ANYWAY. WORD IS, IT WILL BE ALMOST $4 BY SUMMER. SOMETHING HAS TO GIVE.
