Heavy winds caused damage across Texoma Monday night.

In Denison, police report downed power lines and trees across the city, keeping city and TXU crews busy for hours.

Denison firefighters report making 15 to 20 runs in about 30 minutes at the peak of the storm around 9 pm.

They say by about 10:45 pm, things had calmed down.

got a call from my dad who was in hospital at Wilson N. Jones. He called me scared to death. They had announced over intercom that tornado was in Howe and to take cover by putting pillows over their head. (Great cover!!!) He was on 2nd floor with a plate glass window staring right at him. he asked to be moved to hallway but hopsital personnel just moved him to the middle of his room. From my understanding TMC moves their patients to the hallways. Wonder what's up and why doesn't WNJ have a better plan?

My mother lives in an apt complex at 1200 W. Taylor, they still don't have power, does the power company have an estimate of when they might get the power back on?
