SULPHUR, Okla. -- Sulphur Public Schools is searching for a new high school principal.

Principal Greg Hinkle resigned Monday night after just a year on the job.

Interim superintendent Paula Crawford recommended the board rehire Hinkle in April, but they tabled the issue until this month's meeting.

Hinkle resigned before they got a chance to vote on his employment.

He's the third administrator to step down this year.

Superintendent Keith Foreman resigned in January and junior high principal Kristie Jessop followed last month.

The board hired athletic director Tony Duck to take her place.
