05-10-04 -(Fort Gibson-AP) -- A funeral service is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon in Fort Gibson for a soldier killed last week in Iraq.
Services for 28-year-old Army Staff Sergeant Eric Petty will begin at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Fort Gibson. Burial is to be in Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
Petty was killed last Monday while protecting weapons near Baghdad. He died one day before his 29th birthday. Petty was born in Ada, Oklahoma.
