Downtown Renovation in Sherman

5-12-04 - Four downtown Sherman buildings are getting a massive makeover that could bring some unique businesses to Sherman. Roy and Bill Vickrey are remodeling the buildings along Wall Street, just east of Travis.

When they’re done later this year, they hope to be leasing space to a music memorabilia store and a New York style newsstand. One of the buildings is already home to Lupe’s Tamales.

Their plan is to energize downtown and bring customers back from strip malls.
