BRYAN COUNTY, Okla. -- Authorities are piecing together what is now a murder investigation. Bryan County officials suspect foul play after fisherman found a body in Lake Texoma over the weekend.

Authorities say 27-year-old Tristan Ace York bonded out of the Bryan County Jail last Monday, and his body was found nearly a week later in Lake Texoma.

OSBI investigators say York is originally from the Lubbock, Texas area, but was arrested in Bryan County for drug charges. Fishermen found York in Lake Texoma near the Rock Creek inlet Sunday afternoon, near Platter Flats.

Authorities say his body had been in the lake for about five days. OSBI along with sheriff's investigators are working closely on the case, and are now have some leads since identifying the body through fingerprinting.

Preliminary autopsy results were released today, but investigators are awaiting a final report from the state medical examiner's office. Authorities expect to receive the final autopsy report this week.

Tristan was my high school sweetheart. I have not spoken to him in several years. God bless him he was a good person deep down, he just couldn’t make good choices. My condolences to his mom, dad and brother, I know he is in a better place and he will watch over us now. Love, Candace

I went to school with Tristan and have been friends with him since Junior High, he may have been involved in a bad crowd, but Tristan was an awesome friend and i hope and pray that his sorry pathetic killer(s) get thejustice they deserve. I hope that they catch the sorry jerks who took a great freind and father and son. I hope the sorry creeps suffer to the maximum. Tristan will always be loved and remembered as a great person. who cares if he got arrested for whatever, he had a child, friends, family that all loved him and no one has the authority to take his life from us. I am sorry if you didn;t know Tristan, you missed out on knowing a really awesome guy!! I just think that the person or people that killed him were trying to dodge prison for drug charges and now I hope they face murder charges. We love you Tristan and will do whatever it takes to help catch the people that hurt you.

I donot think it matters where he was from or what he did. Since when did murder ony count if the person was good. This man had a big heart and loved everyone. He has a family who loved him and a son who will grow up not knowing his father. I hope the people who did this are caught and justice is given to his family.

It's sad for anyone's life to be taken away. I just hope that the law brings justice to those who took what was not theirs. God bless his family and loved ones.

Does it really matter where he came from or what he did? A life has been taken. He is someone's son. Don't you think we should focus on that.
