5-14-04 - The Carter County Drug Task Force made a methamphetamine bust Friday that is connected to a drug raid several weeks ago. Authorities raided a home in the 1700 block of Easly Street in the northwest part of town.

Inside, they found 5 grams of meth and the makings for a meth lab. But there were also two children there as well, including a 2 year old.

Police arrested Bobby Preston and Brenda Bridgeman and plan on charging both with possession of a controlled and dangerous substance with the intent to distribute.

Authorities believe the two suspects are connected to drug busts in Springer and Ardmore 2 weeks ago where they arrested 10 people.
