DAVIS, Okla. (AP) - The former mayor of a south Oklahoma town is being sentenced to community service for illegally taking money from a store where he worked.
Former Davis Mayor Michael Summers was given a three year deferred sentence and ordered to perform 100 hours of community service for obtaining money by false pretenses.
Summers was accused of adding about $3,000 to his debit card at a Staples store in Ardmore where he was store manager.
Summers was charged in January and resigned as mayor of Davis in April.
