5-20-04 - (Gunter-AP) -- Investigators will review the communication
between dispatchers and two freight trains before a deadly head-on
crash in North Texas.

Officials with the National Transportation Safety Board today
focused on the southbound train in the accident near Gunter.

An engineer was killed and four other crewmembers were hurt when
the two Burlington Northern Santa Fe trains collided late Wednesday.
Officials say Mike Rodgers of Mesquite was dead at the scene.

Nearly two dozen cars derailed in the rural area about 50 miles
north of Dallas, but the line was cleared today. NTSB authorities are trying to determine why the southbound train didn't stop at a passing track -- about six miles from the collision site.
