Gainesville man, 20, arrested for littering

GAINESVILLE, TX -- A Gainesville man was arrested for littering, when he threw a cigarette butt on the ground on Saturday.

Police say 20-year-old Michael McAfee was reportedly trying to enter a building in the 1100 block of Dodson Street in Gainesville. He then fled when another citizen saw him. That citizen chased him down and called police, but he wasn't in trouble yet -- until police say he threw a cigarette butt on the ground right in front of officers.

After that, the officers arrested him for littering.
