COOKE COUNTY - A Cooke County family is grieving after one of their own is found dead in his car on a county road. Now they're looking for answers. They're asking for the public's help to try to catch the people responsible.

Charlie Skinner was 70 years old. He was found dead Saturday morning.

"We were just stunned, we're still stunned, we just can't believe that someone would do this to him, he didn't deserve this," his son, Bo Skinner said.

Skinner said he wants to remember his father for the man he was.

"If you ain't got no money, you ain't got no Charlie, that's all his favorite words was, he loved to fish hunt and everything, he was just a good 'ol guy."

Skinner's sister-in-law agrees.

"He loved to go visit people and the coffee shops he loved to talk to people and tell stories and stuff like that."

The Cooke County Sheriff's Office is still investigating. They suspect foul play. If you have any information, you're asked to call the Cooke County Sheriff's Office at (940) 665-3471.

Charlie Skinner was my daddy the only daddy i have ever known, he loved my momma Billie sue, and all of his kids too. although he may not have told us he loved us, we all knew. I will aways rember the summers on the lake. I know that he is with my momma and she and my grandparents meet him at the gate. He might have gave you a hard way to go but them people did not have to take his life, I hope that the jutice system gives them what they have coming, although live in prison would be to good, my daddy is gone and nothing will bring him back.

I knew Charles and he was a good man with a good heart.Always funny and happy to smile at you everytime you saw him. He enjoyed telling stories and I loved to listen to them. Where are we as society and how low it has gotten when people can take advantage of a person like this. We will remember him fondly and miss him deeply. My condolances go to his family...

Charlie Skinner was a very fun, outgoing man... he was a very giving person he would do anything to help somebody out, he was like a second dad to me if any of his grandkids or kids needed anything he was there to give it to them or if he couldnt he would find a way to give it to us... Charlie could always make people smile i know that cause everytime i seen him and i was havin a bad day he would always find a way to make me smile... Why is the question i want to know????? How could someone do this to an old man?? How would they like it if they got a call at 1:19 in the morning sayin we need you down here at the police station we might have found your dad dead on the side of the road??? It wouldnt feel to good... Well i hope these people get what they deserve... Grandpa Charlie you will be missed.. Rest In Peace
