ARDMORE, OK -- An out of control blimp makes a crash landing on the median of Interstate 35 in Ardmore Wednesday evening. Shelby Levins has more.

Someone was piloting the blimp. We're told his name is Marvin Polzien. Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers say Polzien was flying the blimp when for some reason one of propeller driven engines went out, and Polzien had to make a crash landing.

The blimp landed in the median of Interstate 35 around the 30 mile marker just before 5 p.m. This is video right after Polzien touched down, as friends worked to control the blimp. They group worked to move Polzien and the blimp off of the interstate and onto Highway 70 East.

Trooper tell us Polizien was not injured in the emergency landing, and while traffic was stopped along the interstate to move the blimp, officials say no vehicles were damaged either.

If this story sounds familiar, it's not the first time Polzien and his blimp have made headlines (See Related Stories below). Back in May, the then 79-year-old Ardmore man had to make an emergency landing in his homemade blimp. A few days later that blimp floated all the way down to Decatur, Texas, with no one inside.

Right now the blimp is at the corner of Highway 70 and Commerce. Polzien and his friends are working to get the air out of the blimp and say they plan to take it back to its hangar Thursday morning.
