Accident Victim Still Unidentified

5-25-04 - A man run down and killed on US highway 75/69 Monday night has still not been identified. The accident happened around 9pm near the overpass of Arkansas Street.

Police say a semi-truck driver thought he’d hit a deer at first. Apparently, the man, who appears to be Hispanic, was run over by the trailer, suggesting he walked or fell under the wheels.

Tuesday, detectives spent much of the day passing around a photo of the man, hoping someone in the community could identify him. But so far they have no solid leads.
