IDABEL, OK -- The McCurtain County District Attorney's office has released the name of the teenage suspect accused of murdering a 15-year-old Paris girl last week. Sixteen-year-old Kendal Parmer will be tried as an adult.

Sharonda Bronner was found dead in an Idabel community center bathroom last Monday from a single gunshot wound to the head. According to the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation a ballistics team found a gun in the boy's grandmother's home.

Parmer is being charged with first degree murder. Witnesses say he was seen earlier Monday with the gun. Officials linked the gun found in the home with the bullet used in Bronner's murder.

OSBI also found Bronner's cell phone in Parmer's possession. According to OSBI, witnesses say Parmer was her boyfriend.

A preliminary hearing has been set for February 11.
