Neighborhood Watch in Sherman

By  |

SHERMAN -- Sherman police are asking residents to keep city streets safe.

The Neighborhood Watch program is an effort by the department to cut down on residential crime.

Police say everyone can get involved. Just report any suspicious activity you notice in your neighborhood.

"Typically, your neighborhoods that have a watch program are going to have less incidences of random crime because the people in the neighborhood know who belong there and who doesn’t," says Sgt. Bruce Dawsey of the Sherman Police Department.

Residents can pick up information at the Sherman Police Department.

Officers ask you to sign up and get your neighbors involved as well.
