5-27-04 - The city of Madill is searching for a new police chief – for the second time in 2 years. Robert Hicks turned in his letter of resignation yesterday, which is effective immediately. He's only been police chief of Madill for a year and a half, and so far, no one is saying why he resigned.

City Manager Robert Watts told First News today that he won't comment on a personnel matter. First News tried to reach Hicks personally this afternoon. His wife said he was out of town.
