7th Annual Classic Car Show in Paris

PARIS, TX-- The 7th Annual Classic Car Show kicks off in Paris Saturday, but Friday the cars were cruising around town.

Over 70 cars came out tonight to participate in the crusin on the plaza event.

The cars started at the Love Civic Center, went to Reno, got on the loop and then headed down Main Street to downtown before making their way back to the civic center for a 60's themed party.

Bobby Layton has been doing this event for five years, and says collecting classic cars is his hobby.

""I got a 59 Chevy Pick-up, a 58 Edsel, a 56 Chevrolet, a 72 Chevy Pick up and a 47 Ford," said Layton.

The Classic Car Show will start at 8 A.M. and run until 3, with over 200 cars on display. There will also be a vendors inside the Love Civic Center.

The event is free, but all money donated will benefit the Red River Valley Veterans Memorial.
