DURANT, OK -- A 20-year-old Durant man has died after an early morning car accident.

OHP Troopers say it happened around 2:30 Wednesday morning northwest of Durant on Highway 78, but the accident was not discovered until more than 5 hours later.

Troopers say Colton Lee Johnson was traveling northbound when he ran off the road. His vehicle rolled three times. Johnson was not wearing his seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle.

Johnson was taken to the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant where he died just before 10 a.m.

Troopers say the road may have been icy. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
