CARTER COUNTY, Okla. --Months of planning have prepared the Carter County Health Department for their mass emergency drill.

Now they say it's up to you to make this event a success.

On Wednesday, the group wrapped up planning to ensure radios were working and locations were good to go for Thursday morning's drill, which starts at 8:30 and should wrap up around 12:30.

All the event needs is local volunteers so the health department can test their ability to vaccinate people in the 4-county area.

"We want the community to please show up at any one of the five locations to drive through. If we don’t have the community volunteers coming through to test our site, we won’t know if it’s going to work so they are the key piece," said Carter County Health Department director Mendy Spohn.

The five locations for the drill are:

THE ARDMORE CONVENTION CENTER

JOHNSTON COUNTY ON INDUSTRIAL LANE

LOVE COUNTY AT THE MARIETTA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

JEFFERSON COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT

HEALDTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
