SHERMAN -- Homeowners suffering water damage have begun picking up and so has the trash department in Sherman.
Dumpsters have been placed in those hardest-hit areas like Lyon Street, Contemporary, and Archer Streets.
There will also be curbside pick up to help people haul away drenched carpeting, appliances, and other trash.
City officials are asking people to separate their appliances from any brush or garbage.
"If you have access to the dumpsters, definitely use those. That will get it out of your yard and away from this debris lying around very long,” said emergency public information officer Linda Ashby.
Regular household trash pick-up will resume on Thursday.
