Fatal Accident: Local Soldier Killed
06-04-04 - A 20 year old National Guard soldier from Tishomingo is dead after his SUV hit a tree in Bryan County early Friday morning. Andre Shoola was a member of the 1245th National Guard.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Shoola lost control of his Chevy Blazer on a curve on eastbound Highway 78 in Brown, Oklahoma.
According to OHP, the SUV hit a ditch at around 5:20am then went airborne and landed in a tree, seven feet above the ground. Shoola died on impact.
Shoola served one tour of duty in Iraq.
