MCCLAIN COUNTY, Okla. -- Oklahoma state investigators are asking for your help in identifying a woman they believe is injured.

This photograph was found earlier this week just outside of Purcell in McClain County.

Authorities say the picture was lying beside a gas pump at a service station.

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation forensic artists touched-up the image for public release.

If you have any information, you're asked to call authorities.

Obviously there is more to the photograph than the investigators are letting on (the story says they touched up the photo). She could be seriously injured and people need to focus on that. She could be anyone's daughter, sister, neice, etc...

Will I agree with you also, I dont see any signs of distress either. I work in law enforcement too. only thing they enhance with the pictures is blowing it up making it bigger were they can get a clearer image of the face. But ofcourse people think they are smarter then law enforcement anyways. They know it all and we are dumb. And yes people lose things at gas pumps too, I have found pictures myself also laying on the ground.

Of course she doesn't look injured. Why else would they touch it up other than to make it less graphic? I'm sure they weren't just hiding a pimple. And her eye makeup looks pretty smudged to me. If you work in law enforcement and forensics, then you should all about the practice of NOT divulging graphic pictures of victims to the press or public. Maybe she has a mother or child somewhere that doesn't need to see it. You think they'd give it to a news station to let the whole world see if her throat was slit, or her cheek sliced open? I think not.

Still at no point is that woman injured, or anything. I still think it is from someone loosing a picture out of a wallet, or maybe fell out of a vehicle. Think you people watch to much CSI or something to think something is wrong.

Apparently they know she's injured based on what they can see in the original, untouched photo. It says the OSBI forensic artists had to touch-up the image before they could release it to the public. Her injury must have looked really bad if they had to do that.

The story comments that the photo was touched up by the OSBI forensic artists, so that is probably why you can't tell she is injured.

YOU CAN TELL THAT LACEY OR THE PERSON THAT POSTED REF KINGSTON DON'T CARE WHAT IS GOING ON IN THERE TOWNS OR THEY WOULD WANT A STORY DONE ON THE GOOD THINGS THAT THE MARSHALL COUNTY DEPARTMENTS ARE DOING THESE PEOPLE ARE PROBALLY DRUG DEALERS OR USERS THERESELVES.

I just think it was stupid to post this picture as a possible injured women. At no point does this women look injured at all, or is in any type of distress. What I see of this picture is someone that has taken a picture of their girlfriend or wife laying down. If this women was injured and had tears running from her eyes her eye lash makeup would be running down.I have found pictures before laying by gas pumps before, also money, credit card statements, and even folded checks. Things intended to fall out of your wallet at times and you not even know it. I work in law enforcement in forensics and I do not see any type of danger in that pic, and any investigator should of seen it too.

How do they know this woman is injured just by a photogragh. And its hard to tell who she is by the side of her face. What does Kingston have to do this article?

I agree with Lacey Kingston's comment has nothing to do with this story, but anyone reading Kingston's comment you can tell they are not very educated. Look as the use of words and all the words that are misspelled.

Posted by: Lacey Location: Sherman on Jun 25, 2007 at 09:32 AM
Maybe I'm missing something but Kingston's comment has nothing to do with this story, whatsoever.

How come yall don't do a story on when the Kingston Police Department is something good like all the drug arrest they have had this month. Officer Phillip Smith had made nine or ten drug arrest this month alone they have been everything from possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute to possession of meth with intent to distribute to possession of marijuana with intent to distribute to just simple possession charges. These aresst have goten search warrants for other resdents to which they have found more drugs at. How come yall never do a story when this department does something good
