ARDMORE, Okla. -- A man led police on a high-speed chase after filling up his car with gas and taking off without paying.

Authorities say Jesse Flinn had filled up his 1996 Ford Bronco at the Ard-Mart gas station on 12th and North Washington just before 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Ardmore police were notified and saw his vehicle at around four o’clock Tuesday monring. Police say Flinn was going 85 miles per hour before the chase ended at the intersection of Commerce and Stanley.

Police say at one point Flinn put himself and others in harm’s way when he drove the wrong way on the northbound lane on Commerce.

Fortunately no one was injured during that chase.

Flinn is currently in the Carter County Jail.
