Early Morning Fire Damages Home

06-15-04 - The Durant Fire Marshall is investigating an early morning blaze. Flames broke out just before 3:45am in the 13 hundred block of West Arkansas Street. Utilities were not hooked up to the home, but investigators say the fire started in the back bedroom. This is the second incident at the house. Last winter, a heater caught fire causing some damage. Those damages were never repaired; fire officials believe the current home owners do not live in the house.
