6-15-04 - A federal judge has sentenced a former employee of the Durant school district to 15 years in prison after a child molestation and pornography investigation. Todd Sisk pled guilty in January to three federal charges, including transporting children across state lines for the purpose of sex acts.

A federal judge in Muskogee sentenced him to 15 years in prison on each of those charges on Tuesday. He'll serve those sentences at the same time.

Sisk, 29, was the public information officer and technology director at Durant before he was fired during the investigation last summer. Local authorities charged him with 12 felony counts ranging from child molestation to possession of pornographic images. They claimed Sisk lured young boys to his home and gave them alcohol, then committed the sexual abuse.

He still faces trial in state court on those charges. Sisk also was a church leader and sports coach.

As part of his federal plea deal, Sisk will also face three years of strict probation after his release, including not owning a computer or camera.

Today in court, Sisk thanked law enforcement for doing their job and from saving him from a downward spiral. He told the court he still believes he can be a productive member of society. Meanwhile, the US Attorney called Sisk one of the “most prolific and dangerous pedophiles I have encountered.”
