SHERMAN, TX - The Sherman Salvation Army Captain arrested on drug charges has taken a leave of absence from the organization.

Salvation Army officials say they do not tolerate drug-related improprieties of any kind on the part of its officers or staff. They say Captain David Grigsbay, who was arrested Saturday afternoon at his home in Sherman for possession of crack cocaine, will remain on leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

The General Secretary says the Salvation Army is cooperating with law enforcement and will conduct its own internal investigation into the matter, but the incident will not affect regular programs or services of the Sherman Salvation Army.
