6-20-04- A semi accident on I-35 in Love County shut down both north and southbound lanes of traffic from the Red River to Marietta Sunday evening. It happened just after 4 p.m. in the construction zone near mile marker ten on I-35 North.

Troopers say a semi truck rear ended a vehicle that was slowing down in the construction zone. That car was pushed into a third.

Two people were injured including 29-year-old Sarah Flores of Oklahoma City. She was Medi-Flighted to Harris Methodist Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas in serious condition.

The passenger of the other car, 14-year-old Dominique Williams of Edmond, Oklahoma was taken to Parkland Hospital in Dallas by Medi-Flight. He was transported in serious condition with internal and leg injuries. The car Dominique was riding in carried seven other passengers; no one else in that car was hurt.

The semi driver and his passenger were also not injured.

The accident caused a traffic pile-up on the interstate. Traffic was diverted onto State Highway 77 in Love County, which was bumper to bumper from Thackerville to Marietta for at least 3 hours.

Both lanes were reopened at around 8 p.m. Sunday night.
