The relief from this summer's downpour is only temporary. While Thursday may finally seem like a regular July day, the First Weather team says it won't last long, as rain is again headed our way later on Thursday evening and Friday.

Flash Flood Watch this afternoon for Oklahoma
A cool front lies across Central Oklahoma this morning and will again trigger showers and thunderstorms across Texoma over the next few days. The front will stall out to our north today but a upper level system will kick it south into North Texas Friday and once again give us a chance at heavy showers and thunderstorms. High pressure will build across the central plains Saturday into Tuesday, but each afternoon and evening we will have a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will remain near 90 over the next few days with heat index of 100-105. A Flash Flood Watch will be posted for Oklahoma this afternoon in Friday late morning.
