6-24-04 - A former Calera police officer already facing charges of possession of child pornography, now faces charges of molesting three boys in the late 1990's.

KXII broke the story on First News at Noon. Richard Dillingham was officially charged in Bryan County with seven counts, including rape and forcible sodomy. One of the victims was 16 and the other two were 14. Authorities say the molestations happened between 1997 and 1998.

Earlier this month, a co-worker at Durant Big Lots tipped police that Dillingham had possession of child porn on a work computer - inside a removable disk drive. They later found hundreds of images on his home computer.

Dillingham left the Calera PD in April, but remained on as a reserve officer.

During the alleged 1997-98 molestations, Dillingham was working as a reserve officer in Calera. He also was an employee at Calera's First Baptist Church.
