Marines Killed In Afghanistan
06-25-04 - (Kabul, Afghanistan-AP) The US military says two Marines have been killed and another was wounded in Afghanistan. A spokeswoman says they were attacked last night in an eastern province on the border with Pakistan, in an area where insurgents are led by the Taliban.
She gave no other details. The province is one of several across the south and east of Afghanistan plagued by the Taliban-led insurgents. The US military says it has killed more than 80 militants in the past month.
