6-26-04 - Residents in a Lone Grove neighborhood say their homes are under constant threat of floods and they blame the city.

Several homes on Laurel Street, across from the Lone Grove high school, flooded Friday night after a moderate storm passed through. Neighbors say it’s not the first time it has happened. They blame a new development down the street and a new road that they say sends runoff water straight towards their homes.

Homeowners also claim they had little response from the city or the housing developer. They say their next step could be a lawsuit.
