Authorities have one suspect in custody and are looking for another after an attempted robbery in Paris over the weekend.

It happened Saturday morning at the “Speedy Cash,” in the 2300 block of Lamar Street. Paris police say two suspects came into the store attempting to take out a loan. When they were denied, they decided to rob the employee, jumping over the desk and assaulting her.

The employee, who had a gun under her desk, then started shooting at the suspects. No one was injured.

Police say Diedric Dorsey, 29, is in custody.

Officials are still looking for his accomplice.

Thank God the employee wasn't hurt or that the robbers didn't take that gun away from her.
