(McAlester-AP) -- A 2 year old girl in Latimer County drowned
in her family's swimming pool over the holiday weekend.
The Latimer County Sheriff's Department says Codie Adams drowned
about 6:30 p.m. yesterday. Reports say she drowned after accidentally falling into the pool.
Family members were trying to give the girl CPR when emergency
crews arrived. Reports say the child was taken to Latimer County General Hospital, where efforts to revive her were unsuccessful.
