Fahrenheit 9/11 Opens in Sherman

Filmmaker Michael Moore

7-9-04 - A movie that takes a scorching stance on the Bush administration is now showing in a local theater. Fahrenheit 9/11 opened at Sherman’s Cinemark on Friday morning.

It stands as one of the most controversial movies of the year – a documentary by filmmaker Michael Moore that’s examines how President George W Bush and his staff handled events leading up to and after the 9/11 terror attacks.

But some critics say the film lacks historical context and is just a plot to keep Bush from getting reelected.

The movie opened nearly 2 weeks ago and has already set a record for money made by a documentary.

Fahrenheit 9/11 is rated "R".
