Sunday Afternoon and Evening ... Scattered intense thunderstorms are expected, some severe. Large hail, high winds and the potential for isolated tornadoes will be the main threats. Locally heavy is rain also possible with these storms.
7-13-04 - Ardmore police have arrested a prime suspect in the July 1st armed robbery of a local bank that involved a masked woman. They say Cindy Baxter, 38, admitted to authorities that she robbed the IBC Bank of Ardmore.
Thanks to a tip to the Marshall County Sheriff, authorities went to Baxter’s home in Oakland late Monday. They say that is where she confessed, and they also found methamphetamine. Authorities have not officially charged her with the bank robbery yet – they still want to reexamine the surveillance tape.
Police also have reason to believe that the masked gunman wasn’t working alone.
