Sherman bowling alley robbery suspect in custody

SHERMAN, TX- Police have a suspect in custody in relation to an armed robbery at a local bowling alley this weekend.

Sherman Police say they arrested 40-year old Buster Lee Nelson around 3:30 Tuesday morning. Nelson is being questioned at the Sherman Police Department. A spokesperson with the police department says a patrol officer spotted Nelson's car on F.M. 1417. He was stopped at the Days Inn parking lot at 1417 and U.S. Highway 75 where he was taken into custody.

The robbery took place Saturday. According to staff at the Lone Star Lanes bowling alley, Nelson and another man were drinking together before the incident occurred. Police say they believe Nelson made off with an undisclosed amount of money. Police say Nelson had a gun but never fired it. No one was injured.
