7-14-04 - Kids of all ages now have a new way to stay cool this summer in Sherman. The city debuted their new spray ground, or splash park, at Hawn Park on Wednesday. The play area has 15 different water spouts that shoot and pour water across the area.

It replaces the swimming pool at the park, which was demolished in January due to excessive decay. City officials say the spray ground is a perfect, low cost, and safe alternative for families. The spray ground is free.
