BONHAM, Tex. --Civic sprit and community leadership is alive and well in Fannin County as hundreds came out on Saturday for Bonham’s first annual Texas Heritage Day Celebration.

The event featured some of the old traditional ways of living in Bonham as well as the Colgate Country Showcase (which featured artists from across the area). Guests were also treated to a gun show by the 12th Calvary and had an opportunity to visit the different vendors set up on the square.

Judy Teller, an organizer says, “to bring entertainment and business downtown to help our merchants get and create more business and bring merchants to downtown Bonham.”

Organizers say they plan on holding the festival again next year.
