LOVE COUNTY, Okla. – More of the over 100 suspects arrested in the illegal horse racing ring in Thackerville were in court on Friday .

The courthouse in Love County wasn't as full as Tuesday, but there were several other suspects standing in front of the judge for a second time.

Officials from the state attorney general’s office attended Friday’s arraignments. On Tuesday, the judge decided some charges wouldn’t hold up unless he had more information and someone to explain what he called ‘petty charges.’

The court had no changes today. They were adjourned until Monday at 1:30 p.m.

Nearly 100 people were arrested in Thackerville Sunday afternoon on charges of illegal gambling, betting and racketeering.

If convicted, some of the suspects could face up to 10 years in jail and a $20,000 fine.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, the Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission, and Oklahoma Highway Patrol all came together for what was called "Operation Red River Reunion."

The operation involved 162 law enforcement officers, two helicopters, and an airplane.

Officials say the horse racing took place at a track in Thackerville off Highway 77. They say the racing had gone on there for nearly a year, and the OSBI had been investigating for eight months before they executed the operation.

Authorities say people who were arrested could face up to 10 years in jail, and a possible $10,000 fine. They say spectators will not be charged, but they will be documented.

I know one of the jockeys who was arrested he was there to meet with a farrier. he ws still in the truck when they pulled him out of truck with a machine gun. They started the raid at 1:30,we were notified at 9:00 that night. He was the only american arrested and kept in jail for 2 days because he is a licensed jockey. He could not speak to him for 2 days. He is now facing conspiracy charges ,when they let trainers, owners and others who were there and were illegal go free. They also arrested the farrier who drove in after the raid had started, actually they arrested him twice

So damn what! Guys are betting on match races! 200 officers! When was the last time 200 officers were used to stop drugs, rape, murder,on and on. Set the 200 cops up on I35 and use their time stopping the illegal drugs flowing in our state! What a huge waste of time and $!! The lawsuits will follow for those treated so pitiful. I was passing by and there were officers lined up on I-35 with rifles and shotguns!!! I thought what is going on????!!I thought a huge band of murders or something then was told people were betting on match races!!! What a damn joke!!!!!!!

Ha,Ha, I just love it when some of you start HATING on illegal Immigrants. Some immigrants help our community and of course some don't. Some of you people are just old durty HATERS. The story is Illegal horse racing. Does it say Illegal Immigrants? Why blame all Immigrants for what a handfull of them do? Don't HATE on them because they been here a couple of years and they allready own a house (or two) and have a pimp out ride. There a good example of what a 50 hour JOB can get you. Some of you don't even know what 30 hours of light duty is. That's why some of you are still in rent houses and NEVER will OWN a New 30k or 40k CAR, TRUCK, SUV. Stop hating and manage your own life better. Just because a couple of whites, blacks, browns, blues, reds, and purples are racist. Doesn't mean we all are.

It seems they have not taken care of the innocent horse owners that had no idea their horses were even in the state. Trainers move horses without owners knowledge.

It seems to me that it was just for show.Has anyone ever heard of any law enforcement agency notifing the press before a raid or bust? Someone is needing to be in the spotlight for some reason. Its a terrible display of injustice by our law enforcement and government officials.I hope everyone will remember this during election time. To everyone in Thackerville that thinks this track was so bad. Take a look at your local casino. It brings in more dope, trash and drunks, than any horse track. Either law enforcement just dont have the guts to do anything about it or the right people are getting paid. WAKE UP AMERICA !!! and remember to vote.
