Woman's Journey Has Powerful Message

7-15-04 - A sexual abuse survivor making a 3,000 miles bicycle ride rolled through Texoma on Thursday. Jacqueline Gordon is sharing her story with whoever will listen, in hopes of making people more aware of the plight thousands experience every day.

Jacqueline says she endured abuse for 12 years from her father and then 13 more years from her former husband during an abusive marriage. But at the age of 51, she decided to hit the road, riding a bicycle from Wisconsin to Tennessee

From there, she’s headed to Fort Worth, and is now bound for Chicago. She pays for the trip with the generosity of people she meets along the way.

Her next stop is Oklahoma City this Saturday. If you’d like to help her cause, call 1-888-493-3719.
