No Way - Clerk Refuses Armed Robber

07-16-04 - Ardmore police are searching for a suspect in a botched armed robbery. Police say a man walked into the Love’s Truck Stop on I-35 and 12th Street Northwest at around 2:50am Friday morning.

The suspect bought a soda, and then asked for cigarettes. When the clerk turned to reach for the cigarettes, the suspect put a pistol on the counter and demanded she open the cash drawer.

The clerk refused, the suspect took the cigarettes and left the store. He was last seen heading west on foot. The suspect was wearing a gray t-shirt, black sweat pants, and white tennis shoes. He is described as a clean-shaven white male, in his early 20s.
