Embezzlement Charges for Calera Woman

(Muskogee-AP) -- Authorities say a Calera woman will face federal charges after she allegedly forged checks and tried to use her boss' credit card to buy tickets to the Sugar Bowl.

A federal grand jury indicted Kaci Brianne Stephens Thursday on
counts of embezzlement by an employee of a gaming establishment and
embezzlement from a tribal organization.

US Attorney Sheldon Sperling says Stephens is also charged with
fraud in connection with access devices. Stephens is former secretary to the gaming executive director.

Sperling says she allegedly wrote forged checks on accounts
belonging to the Choctaw Casino and the Oklahoma Indian Gaming
Association. Authorities say Stephens allegedly tried to embezzle more than $120,000.
