Woman Fights Off Attacker in Sherman

7-16-04 - A woman in Sherman fought off an attacker outside her home Thursday night. Police say the woman stepped off her back porch to investigate what neighborhood dogs were barking at along North Binkley Street just after midnight. That’s when she claims a stocky man knocked her to the ground and began tearing off her clothes. He gagged her by shoving his fingers into her mouth.

But she fought back and was able to free herself and run inside to call for help.

Police say the attacker is a Hispanic male about 6’ tall. If you have any information that can help, please contact the Sherman police department.
